Part of the ‘Bad Romance’ Anthology
Darius Wallace is a homicide detective on the trail of a brutal serial killer. His investigation leads him to a fetish club called Vortex, where he meets Jordan Maleficent. Darius, despite his instincts telling him to avoid Jordan–who is edgy, bizarre, and decidedly dangerous–is swiftly coerced into a sexual relationship with him. Darius’s fears are proven valid: Jordan soon reveals himself to be more twisted and demented than any murderer.
The two engage in increasingly disturbing and depraved sexual encounters, until Darius is driven to the edge of insanity. When Darius finally shakes Jordan off and tries to reclaim his peace of mind, a terrible secret comes to light that changes everything. Despite Darius’s attempts to escape Jordan’s clutches, Jordan makes it clear he will do anything to ensure they spend eternity together.
